The Tradename DOWCO evolved from the ‘given’ family name Dow. It (Dow) has been in continuous use since 1880. It is also part of a ’surname’ that dates back to 1550 and counting.
Dow3 is the 14th Patriarch of this family line.

“We don’t sell our Names in this family,” was my father’s (DocRansom.com) (Dow Ransom, MD: Google) instructions when he gave me his blessings and my original van in 1976. I was 28-years-old. We have a saying that when you hang out your ‘shingle’ your there.
To remind me of that OBLIGATION Dow2 purchased the CA personal license plate DOWCO. This was a constant reminder to create ’THE PLAN’

[note: The word PLAN comes from the Greek word prothesis and literally means: “to lay out beforehand.”]
The Tradename of Dow2 is still in ‘use’ even though he passed away in 1992 - this is owned by Dow3 Trust.
This family line has 13-generations born in America (first 1669) and has been in every war except the Korean up to and including Vietnam.

Distributor #1 moved from San Jose to Tempe in November 1978 to learn the DOWCO business from Dow3. He was his roommate until 7/1/1980 when he was set up with his own Region in Denver CO. He went ‘rogue’ 2-months later and moved to Tucson and got married to a girl there.
Distributor #2 started on 7/1/1980 to help #1 develope his Region. He returned to Tempe after
Distributor #1 left Denver without notice. All AGREEMENTS were oral at this time.
Hired Brown & Bain PA in December 1980 to represent the business and me. They created an affidavit to use with customers to acquire info on Distributor #1. We created the DOWCO Written Agreement for Distributor #2 and #3 during this time.
Set up Distributor #2 in Tucson on 2/1/1981 in COUGHLIN‘s vacant condo for 3-months. DOWCO paid Coughlin $335 a month ($1000) for use of his place there. The PURPOSE was to chase #1 out of the AREA and create 1000’s of DOWCO account cards (3x5) [Provision #4]. I was developing the Dowco™️ Van #1 during this time. [Provision #2 DISTRIBUTOR D.]
Recruited COUGHLIN (Distributor #3) on 8/1/1981. See Dowco.xyz
